Gunshot
Sunday 14th November, a longboarder was brutally shot, at point blank range several times, while he skated a hill in a remote part of Wales.
The gunman was dressed all in black, and hid in a hedge, where he waited for the longboarder, who still remains unknown, and opened up with a burst of rounds from what police believe to be a handgun. Police believe that the initial shot to the neck didn't kill him. With a wound to the neck, and having difficulty breathing, he was heard screaming and pleading for his life.
There were 3 witnesses, all remain anonymous for legal reasons, who report the longboarder to have been crawling away from the road and into a clearing where his body was later found by police.
This malicious attack is believed to be premeditated, although no motive has yet been uncovered. Police dogs failed to find any trace of the gunman but the witnesses managed to see the gunman fleeing the scene in a red Ford Fiesta, with the markings D A F on the front. The gunman, in a sick crazed state, recorded the shooting on his camera, and left it as he fleed in a panic. The footage was leaked on the internet, and specialists warn that viewing this footage may be mentally and physically disturbing.
If you recall seeing a red Ford Fiesta on the evening of Sunday 14th, or have any information about this attack, please call the incident room on 02437 372999. Information leading to an arrest may result in a reward.
It seems that attacks on skateboarders, and longboarders alike, have increased ten-fold in the last 2 years. There have been 37 reported attacks in the last year, which is a very worrying statistic indeed.
