I have an account there, I had one back in 2001, but as of today I posted my last post there. I have a problem with some of the BS that occurs with any internet site including this one but I can deal with that to get to some educational and entertaining posts that exist.

The reason I will never visit that site again is the the fact they posted a low key event, without my asking them to do so and without asking me if it was ok. By blasting MY event on thier fromt page I am now forced to refund entrance fees to 25 to 30 people and I have to foot the bill for doing so. I have no problem if someone posted a thread there, but to blast it across the front page with no consulting with the organizer just made my life hell. I am not in this for the money (I have no problem with promoters making money, it is a complete pain in the ass and they should get something out of it) but I wanted to create a quality skateboard experience on my favorite place to ride. That is why the spaces are limited, there are no spectators. It takes alot of energy to deal with all these, watch Ozman during his event, he is not having that much fun but pulls off one hell of an event and deserves to be compensated for it. Silverclit has increased my work my weeks so I have the enjoyment of pissing people off by refunding thier money. I wish I could let everyone in but I am searching for quality not quanity.

I wanted to start this thread to help explain what is going on and how I am trying to deal with it. Keep the silverslit bashing on that other thread.
Ok here is the deal;

Check http://www.longboardlarryblog.com/ for updates, the key phrase in the current posting is BE PATIENT! This is a headache I did not want

Next, QUIT E_MAILING ME! That will only solidify my decision and not in your favor.

I will not answer to specific questions about whether you are in or not on any website. That being said interesting, funny provocative and entertaining posts will score you points so keep it up.

I have alot to take care of and some decisions to make that are going to piss alot of people off. At the present time I have about 25 riders I have to refund money and I am not sure how I am going to determine which ones I am going to cut. The posting on that "other" website directed way more people to the paypal account than I needed. It would have been nice to keep it low key but that is now gone.

Part of this event is to let some of the younger rippers ride with the vets in a non race environment, let them develop to see if they have what it takes to compete. I know there are lots of you guys in the area but I have come across a few from out of the area that sound like they would be fun to have around, including some from Hawaii and Quebec.

It is nice to see some women wanting to race and that might weigh in your favor, go get that sex change.

Of course there are those who this event could not live without and I have not heard anything from a couple of them. I am also waiting to hear from some of you who came out in the rain to help repair the skatepark in Goldendale.

I will post a final list on the blog but you may get an e-mail prior to that for more information or letting know you are in early. If you are notified you are in and start to glout about it, I still have the option to reverse my decision. Nothing is 100% until it is posted on the blog.

Suite au courriel que j'ai envoyé à Deano , il me répondait qu'il avait fait une erreur dans le transfert de la liste de courreurs et que j'étais, comme 4 autres personnes, victime d'une erreur administrative. Je viens donc de recevoir un courriel ce matin me disant que j'était de la partie si je voulais toujours la place. Ohhhhhh yesssss Mary here i come!
