Dan Gesmer s'entrainera à Montréal pour le Cirque du Soleil

Le fondateur/designer de Seismic Trucks et des roues 3DM/Seismic, Dan Gesmer passera les mois d'aout à octobre à Montréal:

"Finally, I'm excited to share the news that I (Seismic founder and owner Dan Gesmer) recently signed a contract to perform as a skateboard artist in a new Cirque du Soleil production called "Wintuk". (As some but not all of you are aware, in the late 1980s I became known as an artistic innovator in flatland freestyle.) I'll train and rehearse at Cirque's Montreal headquarters from middle August through late October. The show will run from early November through early January at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Wish me luck!

The relatively short performance run means that business should continue more-or-less as usual (with a little help from new crew members). While I'm in Montreal and New York, I expect to remain the point person for most business communications, with Colorado-based staff packing and shipping orders."

Félicitation Pierre ça semble être un contrat super intéressant! C'est aussi très différent de voir un gas donner un aspect super artistique du skateboarding! Il est impressionnant: l'équilibre sur les mains sur la planche, rouler sur un truck et faire la toupie!

Heu, j'ai rien à voir avec le contrat de Dan Gesmer avec le cirque, je n'ai fait que rapporter la nouvelle. Mais je trouve qu'il a du courage de faire quelque chose de complêtement à contre courant et de facile a ridiculiser, il persiste et signe.

I'm not too good on cell phone but i'm sure many locals are aware of the good deals.

Anyone have a mobile SIM chip/number they could rent me for about 10 weeks, August 12 - late October?

The pay-as-you-go plans that are available in Canada... kinda suck! And I won't be around long enough to justify getting a year-long plan.

I wish I could help you out on this one but I don't have one of those.

Can't you use those "à la carte" (pay-2-talk?) deals? I don't know much about those plans but it seems to me that it is pretty much the only way to avoid contracts around here.

Virgin Mobile would be a good alternative because there is no contract so you can cancel it whenever you want and they have some not too bad monthly plans, you should check it out

Say, do you know if incoming calls are free with the Virgin Mobile plans? (The website isn't clear on this.)

I've been researching all the mobile phone providers. It now looks to me like the Fido "Urban" package is the best fit for my needs, and an excellent deal. (All incoming calls free, regardless of origin, etc.)

The very same weekend, the Seismic U.S. National Slalom Skateboard Racing Championships take place in Colorado. (Yes, with my company serving as Title Sponsor!) It would be, well, just plain wrong for me not to be present. However, I may not have the energy to fly back to Colorado for the weekend. So you just might see me at Top Challenge!
